The Facebook Post that Precipitated this Blog

I'm just adding this post to beef up the early days of this record. In any case, the text of the Facebook Story that kicked this site off was this:

The thing that made America the greatest nation in the history of the earth is the fact that, in a very real sense, it was a Christian nation. When America ceased being a Christian nation, it began to cease being great. And unless we turn back to God, we will soon altogether cease to be.

(I was going to use the word "repent" instead of "turn back to God," but it occurred to me that the word might have journeyed to our generation without retaining any depth of meaning, just sounding like a holier-than-thou religious word. Repentance generally means a changing of our minds and then our actions, turning away from our rebellion and turning back toward God. America needs to repent.)
